Three girls in the class start teasing. One of them is Molly's best friend, Karen. Molly also plays a lot with Victor, and Karen feels left out and joins the others.
Molly pretends to be ill to get out of going to school. In the end, someone says it out loud. The book is written to be read and discussed in class: about bullying, exclusion and what it takes to make it stop.
